Thunder Bay, Ontario is a small Canadian city that has an extremely high rate of homicides and hate crimes. The podcast reports on some stories that other outlets have not previously had the courage to cover, including delving into the story of the mayor’s extortion and obstruction of justice with a high-profile lawyer in the city.
The show is hosted by Ryan McMahon, a Winnipeg-based Indigenous comedian.
Although the podcast has received great feedback overall, some listeners complain the podcast doesn’t spend any time on showing the good things that are happening in Thunder Bay. There are groups doing things to advocate for Indigenous people that the show doesn’t spend time discussing.
